Philadelphia, PA – Shoppers across the Mid-Atlantic will need to bundle up this Black Friday as a surge of cold, gusty winds sweeps across eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and northern Maryland, according to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly.

Daytime highs will hover near 40°F, but strong westerly winds of 20–25 mph, gusting up to 40 mph, will make it feel much colder — with wind chills in the 20s and 30s through the day. A few snow showers are also possible in the Poconos and northwest New Jersey.

Tonight, temperatures will fall into the mid-20s to around 30°F, with wind chills dipping into the teens and low 20s. Saturday will bring similar cold temperatures, though with lighter winds and more sunshine, offering some relief after a blustery holiday.

Looking ahead, light rain is expected to develop late Sunday afternoon into Sunday night, with rainfall totals of up to a quarter inch possible. Skies will remain overcast and breezy but slightly warmer as the new week begins.

Residents are advised to dress in layers, limit time outdoors, and secure outdoor decorations or displays that could be affected by the gusty winds.
