According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, narcotics investigators worked with the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Huntsville Field Division to execute search warrants at two locations: the 1100 block of 16th Avenue South and the 10 block of 4th Avenue North. Authorities said the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Quadaurius Henley, was taken into custody. Henley has been charged with drug trafficking, unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, and certain persons forbidden to possess a pistol. He is currently being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a $275,000 bond.

Officials stated that investigators allegedly seized 22.3 grams of fentanyl, 27.3 grams of methamphetamine, 79 grams of marijuana, five Xanax pills, and one hydrocodone pill. In addition, $7,797 in cash was recovered.

Weapons collected during the operation included an AR-15 pistol, a .22 caliber revolver, a .38 caliber revolver, a 9mm semi-automatic handgun, and a .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun. Additional items reportedly seized included a drug press, a digital scale, and two cell phones.

Sheriff Mark Pettway described the operation as successful in removing a potentially dangerous suspect along with illegal drugs and firearms from the community.
