Martinsburg, WV – A joint narcotics investigation in Berkeley County led to a major drug seizure and arrest earlier this week, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO).
Investigators executed a search warrant around 7 p.m. on January 8, 2026, at a residence on 487 Universe Drive in Martinsburg. The operation was conducted with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the Martinsburg Police Department Detective Bureau, BCSO Patrol Units, and the BCSO SWAT Team.
According to the sheriff’s office, the search uncovered large quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, ecstasy, psilocybin mushrooms, Xanax bars, and anabolic steroids.
Authorities say 37-year-old Shamjeet Amar Singh of Martinsburg was arrested during the operation on an outstanding warrant. Singh allegedly possessed the narcotics with intent to distribute, connected to a December 2025 investigation. He has been remanded to Eastern Regional Jail under a $50,000 bond.
Additional charges may follow pending further review, officials added.
