Moncks Corner, SC – A months-long narcotics investigation in Berkeley County has led to the arrest of a man authorities describe as a major drug trafficker, with nearly $300,000 in cash and assets seized along with large quantities of illegal drugs and firearms.
According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, Andreas Martell Johnson, 36, of Moncks Corner, was arrested March 22 following an investigation that began in September 2025. Detectives with the county’s Narcotics Task Force allegedly identified Johnson as a distributor of cocaine and methamphetamine in the Moncks Corner area.
Authorities executed a search warrant at a residence on Resinwood Road, where they reportedly uncovered a large-scale drug trafficking operation. Investigators seized approximately 2.24 pounds of cocaine, 429 pounds of methamphetamine, and 27.3 grams of cocaine base. Five firearms were also recovered, including one reported stolen, along with drug packaging materials, digital scales, and a money counter.
Financial evidence also played a key role in the case. According to investigators, documents and electronic records linked Johnson to narcotics distribution, including transactions through CashApp. A financial freeze reportedly revealed more than $30,000 tied to suspected drug proceeds, along with an additional $25,900 across bank accounts.
In total, law enforcement seized approximately $286,714 in cash and financial assets during the investigation.
Johnson faces multiple charges, including trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. According to authorities, he remains in custody at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center pending further judicial proceedings.
