Pocatello, ID – An extreme cold warning remains in effect for Bear Lake Valley until 9 a.m. MST Monday, with dangerously low wind chills reaching as low as 30°F below zero.

According to the National Weather Service in Pocatello, the affected areas include Montpelier, Georgetown, and St. Charles. Wind chills at these levels can cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes, posing a severe risk to those venturing outdoors.
