Baltimore, MD – Residents across Maryland can expect a cooler, wetter stretch early this week before conditions improve heading into the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington, showers are likely Tuesday and Wednesday with rain chances ranging from 40% to 70% in parts of the region. Temperatures during this period will stay in the upper 60s to low 70s, with breezy conditions adding to the chill.
By Thursday, scattered showers may linger, but drier air will begin to move in. Highs are forecast in the mid-70s, still slightly below seasonal averages. Friday brings a return of sunshine and warmer air, with highs reaching into the low 80s.
The weekend outlook shows mostly dry conditions. Saturday may feature isolated showers (15–30% chance), while Sunday is expected to remain partly sunny with highs in the upper 70s. Overnight lows through the week will range from the mid-50s to low 60s.
The NWS notes that mountain areas will be several degrees cooler, with daytime highs 5–15 degrees lower than lowland regions.
Travelers and commuters should prepare for wet roads and slower travel during Tuesday and Wednesday’s rainfall, but outdoor plans are likely to improve by the end of the week.
