Aurora, IL – A 48-year-old man died in a collision Friday evening on Aurora’s far west side.
According to the Aurora Police Department, the accident occurred around 6:44 p.m. at N Orchard Road and Sullivan Road. A 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with a 2009 Nissan Versa. Officers found the motorcyclist, Christopher Joeckel of DeKalb, IL, deceased at the scene.
Preliminary investigations indicate the Nissan, traveling north on Orchard Road, turned left onto Sullivan Road, resulting in a collision with the southbound motorcycle. The Kane County Coroner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
