Arlington Heights, IL – The Village has been notified that Nicor Gas will begin a large-scale gas main replacement project in mid-July, which will impact motorists on Kirchhoff Road. This extensive project aims to improve the gas infrastructure in the area and ensure long-term reliability for residents.
According to the Village of Arlington Heights, the project will include construction along Kirchhoff Road from Dwyer Avenue to Central Road and from Central Road at Kirchhoff Road to Burton Place. Roadways and parkways in this area will experience traffic pattern changes, and temporary restoration may be necessary until permanent restoration is completed.
All residents situated in the construction area will receive a notice in the mail with additional information regarding the project. For project-related questions, residents can contact the Nicor project manager directly via email.
This project involves relocating gas meters currently inside homes to an external location and installing a new gas main. While this will be an ongoing project, only a small population of Village residents will be impacted.
