According to the National Weather Service, the rain is forecast to begin late Saturday evening, with a 60% chance of showers overnight. By Sunday morning, rain will intensify, with thunderstorms possible after noon. Conditions may become hazardous in some areas, especially near low-lying roads.
Saturday will start sunny with a high near 53°F, but clouds will increase throughout the day. Winds will shift to the south, bringing moisture and fueling rain chances. Saturday night temperatures will dip to 41°F, making it a chilly and damp evening.
Sunday’s storms will be widespread, with a 90% chance of precipitation. Highs will reach near 54°F, but rain may disrupt afternoon plans, especially along major roadways like I-30 and Highway 67.
Looking ahead, Monday offers a brief break in heavy rain, with only a 30% chance of light showers and highs near 62°F. By midweek, sunny skies return, with highs near 49°F on Tuesday and 51°F by Thursday.
Residents are encouraged to monitor local forecasts and avoid traveling through flooded areas. Prepare for wet conditions if attending outdoor activities over the weekend.
