Little Rock, AR – Central Arkansas wakes up to another crisp, calm morning — the kind that feels like a postcard from autumn. But while the first half of the week stays warm and bright, a subtle shift is coming by Friday that will remind Arkansans that November chill isn’t far behind.

According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, sunshine will dominate through Thursday with highs in the mid-70s and light southerly winds. Morning lows will hover near the upper 40s to low 50s, creating ideal conditions for outdoor work, early holiday decorating, and fall travel.

By Friday, a weak cold front will slip through the state, turning winds northwest and trimming daytime highs back into the upper 60s. Skies will remain mostly sunny, but drier, cooler air will settle in through the weekend. Saturday looks particularly pleasant with highs around 74°F before temperatures dip again Sunday and Monday — when highs may struggle to reach the mid-50s.

No rain or severe weather is expected, keeping roads clear for Veterans Day events and weekend plans. Still, this shift signals the beginning of Arkansas’s seasonal slide toward colder, stormier November patterns ahead of Thanksgiving.

For now, though, the state sits squarely in fall’s sweet spot — golden afternoons, crisp mornings, and a calm stretch perfect for soaking up what’s left of this mild spell before true winter edges closer.
