LITTLE ROCK, AR – A dry cold front will bring rapid and significant temperature changes to Arkansas today, impacting areas along major roadways, including I-40 and I-30. Temperatures are expected to fluctuate as much as 30 degrees throughout the day, posing challenges for those commuting or engaging in outdoor activities.
According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, temperatures will start off mild, around 63°F in the morning, but will spike to nearly 90°F by the afternoon before dropping again. By midday, the state’s northern regions, including Fayetteville and Harrison, could see highs reaching the low 80s, while areas like Little Rock and Hot Springs will hover around the high 80s. Looking ahead, the forecast calls for a significant cooldown. Monday will see highs only reaching 73°F, with further dips into the low 70s throughout the week. Nighttime temperatures are expected to fall to the low 50s and even high 40s, signaling the arrival of fall weather.
