Dumas, AR — Della Marshall, 39, faces alleged first-degree murder charges for the death of Jason Nalls, 36, during the weekend in Dumas.

On Saturday, August 17, 2024, the Dumas Police Department (DPD) requested assistance from the Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) after discovering Nalls dead in his apartment on Clayton Drive. The victim was found at approximately 12:45 p.m. when a family member asked DPD officers to perform a welfare check.

Nalls had suffered an apparent gunshot wound. The Desha County Coroner’s office pronounced him dead at 6:45 p.m. Following an investigation, officers arrested Marshall in connection with the incident.

Authorities set Marshall’s bond at $300,000, and she remains in custody at the Arkansas County Sheriff’s Office. The body of Nalls was transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab to determine the exact cause of death.

The investigation continues as officials work to uncover more details surrounding the tragic incident.
