Arkansas Troopers Seize 136 Pounds of Illegal Marijuana During Pulaski County Traffic Stop

North Little Rock, AR – Arkansas State Police seized 136 pounds of illegal marijuana during a traffic stop in Pulaski County.

On Thursday, October 3, around 9:38 p.m., troopers pulled over a rented 2024 Chrysler Pacifica on Interstate 40 Eastbound for a traffic violation near mile marker 159. After the stop, officers searched the vehicle and reportedly found five large trash bags in the rear. The bags contained approximately 136 pounds of marijuana, packaged in vacuum-sealed bags.

According to Arkansas State Police, the driver, Hui Zhang, 34, of Flushing, New York, was arrested. She was taken to the Pulaski County Detention Center, where she was booked on felony charges. These include Possession with the Purpose to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Criminal Use of Property.

Zhang reportedly told officers she was traveling from Oklahoma to South Carolina at the time of her arrest. The investigation into the case is ongoing, and no further details have been released.
