LITTLE ROCK, AR – The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a Tornado Warning for parts of central Arkansas, including northeastern Perry County, southeastern Conway County, and central Faulkner County, until 10:15 p.m. CDT Friday.

At 9:53 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was detected near Menifee, close to Conway, moving east at 35 mph. The storm has shown radar-indicated rotation, increasing the risk of tornado formation.

Residents in the affected areas, including Greenbrier, Conway, Menifee, Springhill, and Plumerville, are urged to seek shelter immediately. The storm may produce flying debris, which poses a significant danger to those without adequate protection. Mobile homes are at high risk of damage or destruction, and structures such as roofs, windows, and vehicles may sustain severe impact. Tree damage is also likely in the storm’s path.

The National Weather Service advises residents to move to the lowest floor of a sturdy building and avoid windows. Those in mobile homes or vehicles should relocate to a substantial shelter immediately.

Emergency officials continue to monitor the situation and will provide updates as needed. Stay tuned to local media and weather alerts for the latest developments
