LITTLE ROCK, AR – A tornado warning remains in effect until 10:45 p.m. Friday for east-central Clark, northern Dallas, and south-central Hot Spring counties as a severe thunderstorm moves through the area.
According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, the storm, capable of producing a tornado, was located near Arkadelphia at 10:19 p.m., moving northeast at 45 mph. Radar has indicated rotation within the storm system.
The primary hazards include a potential tornado and quarter-sized hail. Residents in the affected areas, including Donaldson, Friendship, Joan, Midway, and Arkadelphia, should seek immediate shelter. The storm may produce flying debris, structural damage to homes and vehicles, and fallen trees.
Emergency officials advise moving to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Those in mobile homes or vehicles should relocate to a secure shelter immediately.
