Little Rock, AR – Arkansas is set to experience unseasonably warm temperatures throughout the week, with highs soaring into the upper 80s. The heat will extend across much of the state, with no significant rainfall expected until at least Friday. Residents should be prepared for temperatures 5 to 10 degrees above normal, according to the National Weather Service.
On Monday, Little Rock will see sunny skies with a high near 80 degrees. This trend will continue throughout the week, with Tuesday and Wednesday bringing highs of 83 to 88 degrees. Despite the warmth, overnight temperatures will provide some relief, dropping to around 48 to 59 degrees most nights.
The ongoing dry conditions, combined with the heat, may increase the risk of wildfires, particularly in rural areas. Residents should exercise caution when using outdoor equipment that could spark fires and avoid outdoor burning when possible. Roads such as I-40 and I-30 may see heightened visibility issues during peak heat due to rising temperatures.
By midweek, the forecast remains mostly clear with no significant rain chances, although a few isolated showers may develop by Friday. However, any rainfall will be light and unlikely to bring relief from current drought conditions.
