North Little Rock, AR – Three people have died in Independence County, and 29 others were injured across eight counties as severe storms swept through Arkansas overnight. Officials say the numbers remain preliminary and could change as assessments continue.
According to the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management (ADEM), 16 counties reported damage, including Baxter, Clark, Fulton, and Independence. The State Emergency Operations Center has been activated to coordinate response efforts.
Authorities are still evaluating the full extent of the damage, which includes homes, businesses, and downed power lines. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
