Little Rock, AR – Thunderstorms and showers are set to bring heavy rain across the Gulf Coast and southern Arkansas through early Saturday. The National Weather Service warns that some areas could see between two and four inches of rain.

According to the US National Weather Service in Little Rock, Arkansas may experience localized rainfall totals of up to half an inch, particularly in the southern part of the state. Lesser amounts are expected elsewhere. The most severe rain is forecast along the Gulf Coast, with some regions potentially seeing over four inches of precipitation.

The storm system may also cause hazardous driving conditions and localized flooding in certain areas. Residents in affected areas should remain alert to weather updates and prepare for possible disruptions.

With the storm expected to taper off by Saturday morning, authorities urge caution for travelers and those living in flood-prone zones. Coastal areas could experience stronger storms and heavier rain.
