Arkansas Interstate 530 Fatal Hit-and-Run Kills 19-Year-Old Woman

Pine Bluff, Ark. – Arkansas State Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run on Interstate 530 in Jefferson County that killed a 19-year-old woman from Bentonville late Wednesday.

Witnesses reported that Kalei Owen was struck around 10 p.m. near exit 27 after she ran from a wooded area into the roadway. The suspect vehicle, described as a red Honda with front passenger side damage and a missing fog light, was traveling north.

Owen’s body has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for examination. Police urge anyone with information to contact ASP Criminal Investigation Division Company B at (870) 850-8630.
