Phoenix, AZ — A warm and sunny weather pattern will dominate central Arizona through the middle of next week, with only a brief chance of showers late Friday night in Phoenix.
According to the National Weather Service, most of the region will experience clear skies and rising temperatures, with daytime highs climbing from the upper 70s on Friday to 91°F by Tuesday and Wednesday. The only interruption to the dry stretch comes Friday night, when a 20 percent chance of showers is forecast, mainly after sunset.
Winds will generally remain light, although gusts up to 20 mph are possible Friday afternoon. Overnight lows will hover in the upper 50s to low 60s, providing mild relief from the daytime warmth.
Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated and limit prolonged outdoor activity during peak afternoon heat, especially by early next week. While this pattern is typical for mid-April in Phoenix, the prolonged dryness may increase wildfire risks in surrounding desert areas.
No major travel disruptions or school closures are expected. However, those with outdoor weekend plans should remain aware of the slight Friday night rain possibility and monitor local updates for any changes.
Sunny and dry conditions are expected to return by Saturday morning and persist through at least Wednesday.
