Flagstaff, Arizona – Northern Arizona is seeing a brief cooldown Saturday as a weak front slides through the region, bringing cooler temperatures and noticeable northeasterly breezes before a warmer, quieter pattern settles in heading into next week.

According to the National Weather Service in Flagstaff, winds out of the north to northeast will increase to around 10 to 20 mph this afternoon as the front moves through. While skies remain sunny, the breeze will make it feel cooler, especially across higher elevations. Daytime highs are expected to top out near 47 in Flagstaff, with mid-50s in Winslow and Tuba City, and low to mid-60s for lower elevations such as Camp Verde and Payson.

The wind will ease this evening as high pressure begins to rebuild over the Southwest. Overnight temperatures will be seasonably cool, but no winter weather hazards are expected. By Sunday, calmer conditions return with plenty of sunshine and a noticeable warmup underway.

Temperatures climb above average to start the new week as the ridge strengthens. Communities across northern and central Arizona can expect dry conditions, light winds, and steadily warming afternoons through midweek, making for favorable travel and outdoor conditions.

No additional advisories are expected, and the quiet weather pattern looks to hold through at least Wednesday.
