Kingman, AZ – A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for Northwest Arizona until 5 p.m. MST Tuesday, with snowfall expected to create hazardous travel conditions.

According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are possible above 6,000 feet, with 1 to 2 inches anticipated above 4,000 feet. Key areas affected include Hualapai Mountain Road, Interstate 40 east of Kingman, and State Route 66 through Peach Springs.

The advisory warns drivers to anticipate snow-covered and icy roads, particularly in higher elevations. Motorists are advised to slow down and use caution while traveling. Officials recommend checking road conditions by calling 511 before starting a journey.

The snowfall is expected to taper off by Tuesday evening. Residents in Kingman, Golden Valley, and other impacted areas should prepare for winter weather by ensuring vehicles are equipped for icy conditions and delaying non-essential travel.
