Kingman, AZ – A hard freeze warning has been issued for central Mohave County, including the Kingman area, with sub-freezing temperatures expected overnight.

According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, the warning begins at 10 p.m. Monday and lasts until 9 a.m. Tuesday. Temperatures could drop as low as 15°F, posing a risk to crops, sensitive plants, and outdoor plumbing.

Residents are urged to protect tender vegetation and take precautions to prevent outdoor pipes from freezing. Suggested measures include wrapping or draining pipes and allowing faucets to drip. Sprinkler systems should also be drained, and exposed pipes covered to avoid damage.

The cold temperatures are part of a larger weather pattern affecting the Northwest Deserts, with impacts anticipated in areas such as Valentine, Yucca, and Dolan Springs.

Officials advise residents to prepare now to mitigate damage to property and agriculture. For more information, visit the National Weather Service website or monitor local news updates.
