Tucson, Arizona – Triple-digit sunshine may be absent this week, but Tucson’s roads could still heat up as high temperatures flirt with 90°F through Saturday. By Sunday, strong breezes return, stirring up dust and potential travel issues along I-10 from the city to Casa Grande.

According to the National Weather Service in Tucson, daytime highs will hold steady near 90°F through Saturday, peaking around 91°F Friday and again Saturday. Winds remain mostly light until Sunday, when breezy afternoon conditions could affect visibility and road safety. Sunday’s high will dip to 81°F, but gusty winds may cause blowing dust along exposed highways like I-10 and Route 86.

Friday and Saturday will bring sunny skies and dry heat, ideal for outdoor activities. But residents should secure loose patio items before Sunday’s wind picks up. If you plan to drive, especially on I-10, be alert for sudden dust pockets reducing visibility.

Looking ahead:

  • Sunday Night: Clear and colder, dropping to 46°F.
  • Monday: Sunny, with a notably cooler high near 74°F.
  • Tuesday: A brief warm-up to 76°F under mostly clear skies.
  • Tuesday Night: Low dips to 50°F – no frost risk, but a noticeable chill.
  • Wednesday: High rebounds to 81°F with continued sun.
