Flagstaff, Arizona – Stormy spring weather will build through northern Arizona this week, with Flagstaff bracing for wind gusts near 40 mph and a chance of thunderstorms by Sunday afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service in Flagstaff, scattered showers will begin late Friday and increase through the weekend. By Sunday, the region could see stronger systems with rain, lightning, and gusts topping 36 mph. A slight chance of snow may return Sunday night into Monday morning for higher elevations.
Thursday will bring a 20% chance of rain after 11 a.m., followed by mostly sunny skies and a high near 65°F. Showers return late Friday, with increasing winds.
