Phoenix, AZ – Residents in Phoenix should prepare for an unseasonably warm week, with highs reaching near 90°F by midweek. The National Weather Service forecasts sunny skies and rising temperatures, urging residents to stay hydrated and limit prolonged outdoor activities during peak heat hours.

According to the latest forecast, Tuesday will bring a high of 87°F with light southwest winds. By Wednesday, the temperature is expected to peak at 88°F before slightly cooling to 86°F on Thursday and Friday. Overnight lows will remain mild, ranging from the low 50s to 60°F.

While February typically sees milder conditions, this warming trend could impact outdoor workers, children, and the elderly. Officials recommend wearing light clothing, applying sunscreen, and staying in shaded or air-conditioned areas during the hottest parts of the day.

Looking ahead to the weekend, temperatures will begin to drop, with highs around 77°F on Saturday and 79°F on Sunday. Winds will be light throughout the week, but gusts could reach 25 mph on Thursday.

Drivers should be mindful of potential road heat effects on pavement, especially along I-10 and Loop 202. Stay updated with the latest forecasts and take precautions as Phoenix heads into a warm week ahead.
