Ann Arbor, MI – The Ann Arbor Police Department confirmed that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) made contact with a downtown business over the weekend but emphasized that no arrests were made.

According to Police Chief Andre C. Anderson, the AAPD had no prior notice of ICE’s activity and did not assist in the operation. Chief Anderson clarified that there is no evidence to suggest the visit was part of an immigration raid.

The department acknowledged the concern and anxiety such actions can create within the community, particularly regarding immigration-related enforcement.

No further details about the business or the nature of ICE’s contact have been provided.
