Albany, N.Y. – Comfortable temperatures and low humidity will make Monday the pick of the week across eastern New York and western New England before a more unsettled pattern returns Tuesday with showers and the potential for isolated strong thunderstorms.
According to the National Weather Service in Albany, Monday will feature partly to mostly sunny skies with afternoon highs ranging from 73 to 83 degrees and overnight lows between 53 and 61 degrees. Comfortable humidity levels will continue across the Capital Region, Hudson Valley, Mohawk Valley, Berkshires and southern Vermont.
Forecast confidence becomes more uncertain Tuesday as morning cloud cover and scattered showers may influence afternoon temperatures and thunderstorm development. Highs are expected to range from 70 to 81 degrees, with lows Tuesday night between 59 and 66 degrees. If enough sunshine develops during the afternoon, isolated thunderstorms could become locally strong from the afternoon into the evening, although forecasters emphasize confidence in severe weather remains low.
Additional showers are expected Wednesday, with highs ranging from 67 to 84 degrees depending on rainfall and cloud cover. Overnight temperatures will cool into the 48 to 58 degree range as the unsettled weather continues.
Drier weather is expected to return Thursday, bringing a mix of sunshine and clouds with highs between 68 and 79 degrees and comfortable humidity once again across eastern New York and western New England.
