Birmingham, Ala. – Morning storms across southeast and far southern Alabama are expected to taper off by late morning Wednesday, making way for clearing skies and drier air across the state.
According to the National Weather Service in Birmingham, rain and isolated thunderstorms will continue early in areas like Montgomery, Eufaula, and Auburn, with conditions improving before noon. Highs statewide will range from the low to mid-80s under partly sunny skies. Tonight, temperatures are expected to dip into the upper 50s and low 60s, offering a cooler and more comfortable night.
In cities such as Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, and Gadsden, roads may be slick early but will dry quickly. Southbound travelers on I-65 and I-85 should watch for early patchy rainfall and minor ponding. No major flooding is anticipated.
Thursday will bring mostly sunny skies with highs again in the low to mid-80s, continuing the pleasant weather trend. Residents are encouraged to enjoy the dry spell and check forecasts ahead of the weekend, as more unsettled weather may return by Saturday.
