Birmingham, AL – The National Weather Service confirmed two tornadoes from severe storms on Sunday, April 6, 2025, after conducting damage assessments on April 7. The tornadoes affected Dallas and Barbour counties.
According to the NWS, an EF-1 tornado with winds of 95 mph touched down in the Sixmile Creek area of Dallas County at approximately 10:13 a.m. It traveled for 1.32 miles, crossing over Tyler and ending around 10:15 a.m. A second tornado, an EF-0 with winds of 60 mph, impacted the Star Hill area in Barbour County at 10:21 p.m. This tornado had a much shorter path, lasting only two minutes and covering 0.48 miles.
