Huntsville, AL – Residents across the Tennessee Valley can expect rising temperatures and sunny skies this week as high pressure continues to strengthen across the region.
According to the National Weather Service in Huntsville, daytime highs will climb into the mid-80s to lower 90s through Thursday, September 18, while overnight lows will stay mild in the low to mid-60s. Forecasters noted that the pattern will bring above-normal warmth compared to seasonal averages.
The forecast calls for partly sunny skies each day with little to no rain expected. Monday’s highs will range from 85–90 degrees, followed by slightly warmer afternoons on Tuesday and Wednesday with highs near 91–92 degrees. By Thursday, temperatures could reach 93 degrees in some areas.
Meteorologists say the warm, dry conditions are typical for mid-September when high pressure dominates the Southeast. While the weather will favor outdoor activities, forecasters advise residents to stay hydrated during the afternoon hours and use caution during extended time in the sun.
This stretch of summer-like heat is expected to persist into late week before a potential shift in weather patterns arrives over the weekend.
