Huntsville, AL – Temperatures climbed into the mid to upper 60s across north Alabama and southern Tennessee this afternoon, with a few locations reaching around 70°, according to the National Weather Service in Huntsville.
As of 1:10 p.m. Sunday, Scottsboro topped the region at 70°, followed closely by Fort Payne at 69° and Muscle Shoals at 67°. Most other areas — including Huntsville, Cullman, and Decatur — reported temperatures near 66° under sunny skies and dry conditions.
Forecasters say the clear, mild pattern will continue through the afternoon before cooler temperatures move in early in the week. No rain is expected through at least Monday, offering ideal weather for outdoor activities or early Thanksgiving travel.
“Sunny skies and dry weather continue through the afternoon,” the NWS said. “Temperatures have warmed into the mid to upper 60s through most of the Tennessee Valley.”
Calm winds and clear skies are expected overnight, with lows dipping into the 40s by Monday morning.
