CHICAGO, IL – Zuru has issued a recall for their popular Robo Alive Junior Baby Shark Sing & Swim Bath Toys and Robo Alive Junior Mini Baby Shark Swimming Bath Toys.

According to the manufacturer, the recall comes in response to alarming reports of potential hazards associated with these bath toys, which have already reached a staggering 7.5 million units sold.

At least 12 children have been injured by the toy, with at least nine requiring stitches or medical attention. These injuries can be severe and have already resulted in incidents involving children’s genital, anorectal, and facial areas.

The hazard lies in the design of these bath toys, specifically the hard plastic top fin of the shark. When used in a bathtub or wading pool, there is a risk of children slipping and falling onto the fin, leading to impalement, lacerations, and punctures.

The toys were sold at Walmart, CVS Pharmacy, Dollar General Corp., Family Dollar Services, HEB Grocery Company, Meijer, Target, TJX Companies, Ross, and Walgreens stores nationwide.

Zuru is issuing refunds to customers with proof of purchase.  For more visit https://www.recallrtr.com/bathshark
