Bethlehem Township, NJ – A serious multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 78 early Tuesday morning, May 12, left several ആള injured and is now under investigation by New Jersey State Police.

According to New Jersey State Police, the crash occurred around 12:55 a.m. on I-78 westbound near milepost 11 in Bethlehem Township, Hunterdon County, located in western New Jersey.

Preliminary findings indicate that a yellow Ford SUV, a gray Toyota passenger vehicle, and a blue Honda sedan were all traveling west when the Toyota struck the rear of the Ford. The impact caused the Ford to veer off the roadway and collide with a guardrail. The Toyota then became disabled in the roadway and was subsequently struck from behind by the Honda.

Authorities say the driver and passenger of the Toyota sustained serious injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital. The driver and passenger of the Honda suffered moderate injuries. No other injuries were reported.

State police are actively investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident—or events before or after it—to come forward.
