Indiana Teen Killed in Hydroplaning Crash, Another Injured in Hancock County Incident

Greenfield, IN — A tragic vehicle accident in Hancock County claimed the life of a 17-year-old Eastern Hancock High School student, Lindsay Locker, on Sunday afternoon. 

The incident occurred at the intersection of two county roads around 2:40 p.m. According to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department, the 2007 Chevy Silverado, driven by Cody Mastin, 18, a Greenfield native and college student, hydroplaned under wet conditions, veered off the road, and collided with two trees. 

Investigators noted that neither Mastin nor Locker were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. While Mastin survived, Locker tragically succumbed to her injuries.
