Indiana Driver Ejected and Killed in Early Sunday Morning Crash on Ind. 49, Morgan Township

Chesterton, IN – An early Sunday morning crash on Ind. 49 in Morgan Township, Indiana, has led to the death of a driver, as confirmed by the Porter County Sheriff’s Police (PCSP). 

According to reports the crash occurred around 4:05 a.m. when a 2020 Ford SUV, heading northbound near the intersection of C.R. 600S, unexpectedly crossed the center line, resulting in a collision with a 2020 Toyota traveling southbound. The crash  ejected the driver of the Ford SUV, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Another driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Northwest Health-Porter for medical evaluation.

An investigation is ongoing, the identification of the driver killed has not yet been released and is pending notification of next of kin.
