Rockford, IL – Garage Fire Damages Home; Cause Under Investigation

Rockford, IL – A residential fire broke out Sunday afternoon in the 2100 block of Maxine Lane, significantly damaging a home and attached garage.

According to the Rockford Fire Department, crews responded at 3:21 p.m. to reports of heavy fire coming from the garage. Firefighters deployed hand lines to contain and extinguish the blaze.

Officials confirmed that the cause of the fire remains under investigation. No injuries were reported, and the extent of the damage to the property is still being assessed.

Residents in the area are reminded to remain cautious and ensure their fire alarms are functioning as investigations continue.
