CHICAGO – The Illinois State Police (ISP) recently orchestrated a massive anti-human trafficking sting in the Will County region, netting six individuals believed to have sought commercial sexual acts with minors.

The two-day operation, held on October 25-26, 2023, forms part of ISP’s intensified efforts to thwart human trafficking, a sentiment echoed by ISP Director Brendan F. Kelly. Notably, a prior operation in Springfield led to the apprehension of eight suspects.

Among those arrested in the latest crackdown include individuals from Chicago, Joliet, Lockport, Bolingbrook, and Lombard. ISP’s extensive collaboration with several local agencies and units underscores its commitment to eradicating this heinous crime. Suspicions related to human trafficking can be reported via the National Human Trafficking Hotline or through ISP’s dedicated email.
