Frankfort, IL – Organizers of one of the south suburbs’ largest annual community events are looking for volunteers to help make this year’s Frankfort Fall Festival a success.

According to the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce, volunteer registration is now open for the 58th Annual Frankfort Fall Festival, which will be held Labor Day weekend, Sept. 5-7.

Community members ages 13 and older are encouraged to apply. Organizers say volunteers can assist in a variety of roles, including welcoming guests, supporting activities, and helping behind the scenes throughout the three-day event.

Applications must be submitted by Aug. 14.

“The Frankfort Fall Festival is made possible by neighbors helping neighbors,” the Chamber said in announcing the volunteer drive, adding that volunteers play an important role in creating a memorable experience for attendees each year.

The annual festival is one of Frankfort’s signature events, drawing thousands of visitors with live entertainment, family activities, food vendors, arts and crafts, carnival attractions, and community organizations.

Officials say volunteering also provides an opportunity to meet new people, give back to the community, and become part of a long-standing local tradition.

Residents interested in volunteering can complete an online application through the festival’s official website.

The Frankfort Fall Festival returns Sept. 5-7 as the community celebrates its 58th annual Labor Day weekend tradition.
