PEOTONE – In a chilling incident on Monday, October 16, the Peotone Tobacco & Liquor located at 422 S. Governor’s Hwy became the scene of a brazen armed robbery.
According to Peotone Police it began around 9:45 PM, when two black men brandished a handgun, cornering store employees. Swiftly, the duo seized cigarettes and cash before making a hasty escape on foot. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
