Homer Glen, IL – Glendale Heights Police Department Sergeant Michael Huff and his wife, Jackie Huff, were found deceased in their Homer Glen home on Sunday evening.

According to the Will County Sheriff’s Office, the incident appears to be a murder-suicide. Sergeant Huff had been a dedicated member of the Glendale Heights Police Department for over 20 years, and his wife Jackie was a former employee of the Village of Glendale Heights.

According to police reports, the discovery was made after deputies responded to a shots fired complaint at the Huff residence in the 13600 block of Shannon Drive. Upon arrival, they reportedly found both Michael and Jackie Huff deceased, with initial investigations suggesting that Michael took his own life after taking that of his wife.

This tragic event has deeply affected the communities of Homer Glen and Glendale Heights, casting a shadow of sorrow over both villages. The Village of Homer Glen has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Jacquelyn Huff, noting her contributions to the community. In her memory, Village Offices were closed on November 20th. The Glendale Heights Police Department, along with the Village, is working in conjunction with the Will County Sheriff’s Office to investigate this incident further.

As the investigation continues, the Village of Glendale Heights and the Glendale Heights Police Department have refrained from making additional comments. Meanwhile, the villages have expressed their heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the Huffs, acknowledging the profound impact of this loss on the community.
