ELMHURST, Ill. – In an unexpected turn of events, Elmhurst Police Department reported that two unscheduled buses carrying a total of 91 migrants from Texas arrived at the Elmhurst train station.

According to police reports the first bus, with 58 migrants, stopped early Saturday tonight. An individual identified as a “leader” on board purchased Metra tickets for all passengers, who then boarded the 9:13 p.m. train to Chicago. The second bus, carrying 33 migrants, arrived later, with passengers boarding the 11:15 p.m. Metra train to the same destination.

Elmhurst Police and Fire Departments were present at the station, assisting in coordination and responding to inquiries. This sudden influx of migrants highlights the ongoing challenges faced by local authorities in managing unexpected situations.
