CHICAGO — An accident took two lives on DuSable Lake Shore Drive near 31st Street Monday night.
Police report just after 9 p.m., a lane-changing Chevy sedan collided with a Nissan sedan, forcing the Nissan into a tree. The male Nissan driver and a female passenger tragically lost their lives. Two 21-year-old female passengers from the Nissan remain in critical condition. The Chevy’s driver and a female passenger were transported to Stroger Hospital in fair condition.
The exact circumstances leading to this tragic tree collision are under active investigation by Chicago police.
