IROQUOIS COUNTY, IL —The Iroquois County Health Department (ICHD) announced six new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, the most reported in a single day since May 13th in the county.
Among new cases announced Wednesday by ICHD, cases range from men in their 20s to 80s, and three women in their 50s.
To date, the county has reported 151 cases of novel coronavirus, with 125 reported as recovered by county officials. Two active cases are currently hospitalized with five deaths reported since March.
Nearly 2,300 tests have now been run in the county.
Two long-term care facilities in the county still remain labeled as ‘open’ by the Illinois Department of Public Health, including Prairieview Lutheran Homes with three reported cases. The other facility, Ascension Presence Merkle Knipprath, now reports 49 cases of COVID-19 in their home to date. Four residents at that facility have since succumbed to the virus.
