Harbor Freight in a letter to the community announced they will be donating their entire supply of personal protective unit to local front line hospitals with a 24-hour emergency room to communities served by their stores.
Items Harbor Freight plans to donate include much needed N95 masks, face shields and 5 and 7 mil Nitrile Gloves.
“Although we certainly won’t have enough of these supplies to fill everyone’s needs, we’re going to donate everything we’ve got. We also recognize that there are so many other critically important people responding to this crisis and that there is need everywhere. We’ve chose to focus our efforts on hospitals with a 24-hour emergency room with the hope that we can help as many people as possible right now.” said Founder Eric Smidt.
Harbor Freight says they’ll email hospitals they can help a voucher once supplies become available for them to pick up at their local Harbor Freight Tools store. Both local AMITA St. Mary’s and Riverside Heathcare qualify for the donations.
