BOURBONNAIS – Quincy has moved into the number two spot in the Nation for ‘Where the Outbreak is Worst’ now across the Nation.
According to the New York Times, an ever-changing chart monitoring the pandemic among metro and micro areas moved Quincy into the number two spot with an average of 206.9 cases reported per day in the last two weeks. The area jumped into the top five Friday knocking El Paso out of the top five.
Since, El Paso has fallen out of the top ten on the list.
Kankakee fell one spot Saturday, the only other Illinois community in the top 10, falling one spot on the list Saturday morning to fifth-worst overall in the nation. The community is now averaging 181.2 cases per day in the last two weeks.
This week, Adams County Health Department reported 759 new cases and 2 deaths, while Kankakee County Health Department reported 1,482 new cases and 9 deaths.
