Zoom went down earlier today for children depending on the remote learning tool.
Earlier this morning, Bourbonnais Elementary School District 53 addressed the outage to local teachers and parents in the area:
No word on how many children across the area had been affected by the outage.
As part of a blended learning option adopted by the majority of schools in Kankakee County and across the state of Illinois, schools depend on the platform to connect with classrooms during the pandemic.
According to Down Detector, the outage began shortly after 7 a.m. CST. The outage is worldwide with Zoom apologizing for the outage.
