UNIVERSITY PARK, Ill. – A fatal car crash occurred in University Park on Saturday morning, killing two people and injuring several others. The University Park Police Department responded to the accident site at the intersection of University Parkway and Western Avenue at approximately 7:41 a.m.
The crash involved two vehicles, and several people were found injured. Emergency responders transported the injured individuals to nearby hospitals, where some were in critical condition while others had non-life-threatening injuries.
University Park Police have confirmed that two people died in the crash but have not yet released their identities. An investigation into the accident is ongoing by both the University Park Police Department and the Will County Sheriff’s Department. As a result, traffic was re-routed during the investigation.
