BOURBONNAIS – A Secret Food Pantry event is scheduled to pop-up in Bourbonnais tomorrow.
The pantry will run Thursday afternoon from 1-2:30pm outside the Bourbonnais Municipal Center at 700 Main Street in Bourbonnais.
“The Village of Bourbonnais is happy to offer a location for the mobile pantry to operate and provide goods to those who are in need,” Mayor Paul Schore said in a release Wednesday. “If you live and work around the Municipal Center Campus, please be aware there will be increased traffic during the event time and use caution in the area.”
According to the pantry’s founder and organizer, MaryLu Kruegr, anyone can come for for
food. There are no residential or financial restrictions. The Secret Food Pantry, a non-profit based out of Godley, accepts financial donations at Financial Plus Credit Union locations.
