Nadmar Realty Group in New York announced they’re shutting down Northfield Square Mall in Bradley. The move comes two days after Simon Malls shut their doors, including Orland Square Mall in Orland Park.
Northfield Square was originally a member of the Simon Malls family when it was built in the 1980s. The move comes in response of the Govenor J.B. Pritzker’s Stay-at-Home order issued on March 20th.
“The health and safety of our patrons, merchants and employees are a top priority, our thoughts are with those impacted by the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic. We are committed to ensuring the health and safety of all, our teams have been monitoring the situation closely and taking precaution measures at all our properties.”
Nadmar says the mall will be shut down by 3pm today.
It hopes the mall will reopen at the earliest possible date.
